Investment Is Required To Boost Engineering Sector

Unite officials have notified the greater investment is needed in training young people in construction and engineering jobs UK. The assistant general secretary for the union Les Bayliss, bucked up private and public construction sector investment in training to help attract young engineers.

Unite cares that the construction industry has less skilled and old workforce that the UK will struggle to replace in the near future. It believes that there are insufficient engineer jobs opportunities for young people to secure positions, needed to qualify for civil and many other specialist construction engineering jobs.

Bayliss commented that “Overall apprenticeships may be growing, but in the construction and engineering sectors numbers fell dramatically during the downturn" and these comments were published as part of National Apprenticeship Week.

It is seen that the engineering recruitment is encouraged by government plans to step up financial and logistical support and also exploring new ways of affirming engineering employers in these difficult times.
